We got our hands on the Hyundai Creta for a long term test in August last year, which means in a month or two we’ll be saying goodbye to what is easily one of my favourite cars in the fleet. Over the last year or so I and other members of the team have pretty much covered every aspect of living with a Creta so, this time I thought I’d focus on a wish list of sorts for future iterations of the Creta, specifically the facelift. It is still some time away from arriving but there are a few revisions and features that I’d like to see. Hyundai could pick some bits from the Alcazar’s bin and add them to the Creta, especially to the top end trims. First up, I’d like to see those halogen fog lamps being replaced with LED units just to enhance the premiumness levels. In terms of convenience, Hyundai could add a 360-degree camera setup as well and maybe even those blind spot monitors while they’re at it. An N Line variant with sportier exterior appointments and improved dynamics akin to the i20 N Line featured in this issue could make for a nice addition to Hyundai Creta lineup as well. An iMT for the 1.5 NA petrol variant might be something Hyundai should consider adding too, and based on updates its sister brand has rolled out for Creta’s most fierce rival, I have feeling the addition of that transmission is already on the cards. Next month’s long term report on the Creta is likely to be the final one with a round-up of what we loved and what we didn’t so do watch out for that.
