Honda H’ness CB350
It is our fourth month living with the Honda CB350 H’ness, and while we’ve spoken a lot about the way Honda’s newest long-stroke rides, we thought that this month’s report should focus on the features that come as part of the package of our top of the line Honda H’ness DLX Pro. We’ll start with illumination, the Honda gets the all-LED treatment with LED headlamps, tail-lamps and indicators. It serves to add to the premium value of the H’ness but its true purpose becomes evident at night. A good spread of light makes for safe riding even on the highway in Delhi’s foggy winters. Notably, there is no separate switch for high-beam and low-beam but the pass switch integrates the functionality to toggle between high-beam and low-beam by pushing forward the pass switch. It has been neatly integrated and helps keep things clean and tidy. Another especially useful feature that is often overlooked is the side-stand indicator with an engine kill switch. Finally, the hazard switch pre-installed makes it safe to stop along the highway at night and in dense fog where the tail-lamps may not be as noticeable. DTE metres and real-time mileage indicators on the instruments also work well to keep check of real-time efficiency. This in combination with the Eco riding mode helps to get the better mileage from H’ness. Swithching to the Eco riding mode totally change the behavior of the Honda CB350 H’ness and the real-time efficiency indicator shows noticeable change to the mileage figures. My only complaint is the lack of iOS support for Apple products on the cluster which means that I haven’t got a chance to use the cluster in the real world.
