Based on the IMV2 architecture that it shares with the Fortuner and Innova Crysta, the Hilux measures 5,325mm in length. The exterior gets a muscular look thanks to the larger headlamp housings, large grille and use of black plastic cladding while the chrome surround adds a bit of bling. Features like LED DRLs, LED headlamps and vertically stacked taillamps and 18inch alloys give the Hilux a utilitarian yet up market look. The cabin has equipment straight from the Fortuner, like the 8-inch infotainment screen, climate control switches and instrument panel. Other features include electrically adjustable front seats, steering mounted controls, JBL audio, ambient lighting, parking sensors, dual-zone climate control and more. Safety features include seven airbags, vehicle stability control, brake assist and hill assist control. The Toyota Hilux does not have a direct rival in the Indian market, but comparisons will certainly be drawn with Isuzu D-Max V-Cross which carries a lower Rs 22.07 lakh to Rs 25.59 lakh (ex-showroom) price tag, but does have lower power and fewer features.
