PNB to implement data exchange module
Punjab National Bank is preparing to implement a data exchange module for its cheque truncation system in place of clearing house interface to support centralized clearing house. At present the bank has the practice of uploading CTS clearing files from CTS server to Clearing House Interface (CHI) provided by NPCI and further transmitted to Clearing House of the respective grid. The data exchange module will come in place of CHI to support Centralized Clearing House. The bank’s outward clearing is decentralized at branches, while the inward clearing is centralized at state level and processed at state level RCCs. The CTS clearing files are uploaded from CTS server to CHI and further transmitted to Clearing House of the respective grid. The data exchange module is to be implemented in all the 3 CTS grids - northern, southern and western as per DEM technical specification document provided by NPCI.
