PNB to im­ple­ment data ex­change mod­ule

Pun­jab Na­tional Bank is preparing to im­ple­ment a data ex­change mod­ule for its cheque trun­ca­tion sys­tem in place of clear­ing house in­ter­face to sup­port cen­tral­ized clear­ing house. At present the bank has the prac­tice of up­load­ing CTS clear­ing files from CTS server to Clear­ing House In­ter­face (CHI) pro­vided by NPCI and fur­ther trans­mit­ted to Clear­ing House of the re­spec­tive grid. The data ex­change mod­ule will come in place of CHI to sup­port Cen­tral­ized Clear­ing House. The bank’s out­ward clear­ing is de­cen­tral­ized at branches, while the in­ward clear­ing is cen­tral­ized at state level and pro­cessed at state level RCCs. The CTS clear­ing files are up­loaded from CTS server to CHI and fur­ther trans­mit­ted to Clear­ing House of the re­spec­tive grid. The data ex­change mod­ule is to be im­ple­mented in all the 3 CTS grids - north­ern, south­ern and west­ern as per DEM tech­ni­cal specificat­ion doc­u­ment pro­vided by NPCI.
