LIC to have chat­bots, look­ing for CaaS

LIC of In­dia is propos­ing to in­tro­duce chat­bots to im­prove its pro­cesses and ac­tiv­i­ties in var­i­ous op­er­a­tions, in­clud­ing mar­ket­ing and cus­tomer ser­vice. It is look­ing at im­ple­ment­ing the project on a ‘chat­bot as a ser­vice (CaaS) ba­sis and has sought pro­pos­als from firms work­ing in the do­main of ar­ti­fi­cial in­tel­li­gence, cog­ni­tive learn­ing, ma­chine learn­ing robotics and other al­lied fields for im­ple­men­ta­tion of project. The firms will be re­quired to show­case ex­ist­ing so­lu­tions per­tain­ing to chat­bot de­ploy­ments in In­dia in the in­sur­ance/fi­nan­cial sec­tor, demon­strate the ben­e­fits of chat­bots pro­posed by them in the con­text of LIC’s op­er­a­tions and pro­pose mul­ti­ple such so­lu­tions with sep­a­rate doc­u­men­ta­tion for each pro­posed so­lu­tion.
