Ever since the covid-19 pandemic hit, there has been a paradigm shift in the way consumers and businesses perceive digital services. From retail to entertainment, education, finance, and business services, there has been a massive transition to digital-first interactions between consumers and businesses. Cloud computing has become the foundation for enterprises to build their digital fortresses and data centers have become more important than ever.

The pandemic threw life out of gear for nearly every business. But on the bright side, it had created the opportunities for the digital service providers. Nikhil speaks on the challenges and solutions: “The real challenge then was to ensure the scalability of digital assets hosted in data centers when the demand goes off the roof. In addition to a great disaster recovery plan and accommodative ecosystem for multiple technologies, Web Werks offered customers risk-free scalability across all 3 data center locations in India. From an organization’s ERP to its internal corporate tools, there was a major change in the way data traffic came in. For example, a business with 10,000 corporate employees in Mumbai has now transitioned into a remote work model due to the pandemic.”

He added: “From a data center perspective, the historic patterns of data traffic which came in from Mumbai via an office network have now spread across the country while navigating through multiple internet gateways and service providers.”

Web Werks ensured that the customer’s data traversed smoothly ever y time irrespective of where it was accessed. From storage utilization to latency, bandwidth optimization, network configuration, and management, Web Werks is able to focus on a full range of digital assets for customers, masking multi-level complexities.

CO-LOCATION & INTERCONNECTION

India has more than half a billion daily active internet users. They consume a wide variety of content over the Internet ranging from news bytes to 4K movies and social media content. While machine learning, AI, and data analytics tell companies what content is likely to be consumed by which consumer, delivering this content to them quickly and efficiently requires them to plan the shortest delivery path.

Nikhil explains: “Our data centers offer crucial data assets closer to your actual customers, thereby allowing you to shorten the path between users and your cloud. By leveraging colocation, businesses can continue to adapt to growing digital needs by facilitating multi-modal public or private cloud access while moving the data closer to the point of consumption. This is further supported by our interconnection capabilities with multiple carriers, ISPs, content delivery networks, and cloud-onramp with AWS, azure and Google Cloud.”

According to Nikhil, as we navigate challenging times for both businesses and consumers, digital transformation becomes a necessary pillar to lower the impact of disruptive shocks and help open new revenue and engagement channels. However, this requires a massive expansion of cloud infrastructure that most businesses have never imagined before. While public and private cloud infrastructure does offer a breather, the true benefit of cloud computing is realized when your end customers or consumers can enjoy your digital experiences faster and more reliably. This is where data center co-location comes into the picture.

Web Werks, along with its joint venture partner Iron Mountain Data Centers, offer colocation, cloud and interconnection ecosystem at 19+ locations across India, US, Europe and APAC. In India, the JV has existing facilities in Mumbai, Pune and NCR, with upcoming data centers in Bangalore, Hyderabad and Chennai.

GUARANTEED UPTIMES

Web Werks offers hyper-connected ecosystem, with a multitude of network partners for a robust, resilient IT infrastructure for businesses, and 24x7 availability/ support. This is supported by multifold redundancy created at each component of delivery for ensuring uptime. Web Werks offers Tier 3 data centers guaranteeing uptime, leaving no space for unprecedented outages or maintenance. The significance of tier ratings lies with the level of concurrent maintainability that data center facilities offer primarily in terms of power and cooling.

Tier 3 data centers cater to almost all customer requirements. They are more cost-effective and guarantee uptime for nearly every critical workload in any sector.

Nikhil reveals: “As customers, the point to note here is to have an efficient disaster recovery plan in place that ramps up customer’s digital infrastructure to the cloud or physical DR in the event of a failure or uptime lapse. Once that is in place, a Tier 3 data center infrastructure is all that they need. An additional advantage of Tier 3 data centers is that they are more environmentally friendly.”.
