With 607 branches spread across all the dis­tricts, Chat­tis­garh Ra­jya Gramin Bank is the largest net­worked bank of the state. Its 565 (93%) branches are in rural/ semi-ur­ban ar­eas. Since FY2015, a to­tal of 25 branches have been opened so far, most of them be­ing in re­mote, rural ar­eas. It is adding 10 new branches in FY2019. From a to­tal of 286 in FY 16, the Bank Mi­tra count has also gone up to 510 (up by 78%).

R. K. Gupta, chair­man since 01.09.2015, says: “We are vig­or­ously pro­mot­ing the Bank Mi­tra model for im­prov­ing our out­reach. This in­cludes 103 Bank Sakhis (only women SHG mem­bers).”

The bank is func­tion­ing through 10 RBOs (headed by re­gional man­agers) lo­cated at ge­o­graph­i­cally suit­able cen­ters. At HO, be­sides the chair­man, 4 gen­eral man­agers from spon­sor bank are avail­able. The bank is hav­ing 2 net­works con­sist­ing of 5 RBOs each.

The new head of­fice com­plex of the bank, CRGB Bha­van, at Naya Raipur is now be­ing con­structed and ac­cord­ing to Gupta, the bank would start func­tion­ing from the new premises from FY2020 on­wards.
