ADB has approved $625 million in finance to develop the Vizag-Chennai Industrial Corridor (VCIC) in Andhra Pradesh and plans to invest another $1.5 billion to the connecting Chennai-Kanyakumari Industrial Corridor (CKIC) in Tamil Nadu.
For more than a decade, projects under the Rajasthan Urban Infrastructure Development Project (RUIDP), funded by $970 million in loans from ADB, have provided improved water supplies to nearly 9 million people across the state. ADB along with Leading Asia’s Private Infrastructure Fund (LEAP) has agreed to invest $10 million of equity in DCDC Healthcare Services Pvt Ltd to help enable the establishment of critical healthcare infrastructure in India and Sri Lanka. DCDCPL offers dialysis care in government, private hospitals and 2 standalone clinics. It has close to 100 centers spread across Delhi, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Gujarat, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal, with a total capacity of more than 800 dialysis machines.
Bihar State Highways III Project (US$ 200 million) will rehabilitate and upgrade about 230 kilometers (km) of highways in Bihar and improve road transport connectivity in line with the state’s road development plan for 2015-2035.
