Prachi Mishra joins Goldman Sachs India
Goldman Sachs has appointed Prachi Mishra as a MD and chief India economist. She will be based in Mumbai. Mishra was the deputy division chief of the western hemisphere department at the International Monetary Fund (IMF). Earlier to that, she was the head of the strategic research unit at the Reserve Bank of India for a brief period. She was also a specialist adviser at the RBI between November 2014 and February 2016. She was the first lateral recruit at the RBI. She has also worked as a senior economist at both the IMF and the Government of India’s
Ministry of Finance. She is a PhD and a M. Phil in economics from Columbia University.
