SBI to set up next gen GSOC

State Bank of In­dia is set­ting up a Next Gen Global Se­cu­rity Op­er­a­tions Cen­ter at its Navi Mum­bai Global IT Cen­ter. This is in line with the reg­u­la­tory re­quire­ments of RBI, CERT-In, NCIIPC etc and would cover for­eign ge­ogra­phies and in or­der to meet the in­creas­ing in­no­va­tive cy­ber threats and mal­wares, threats em­a­nat­ing from emerg­ing tech­nolo­gies like AI/ML, blockchain, cryp­tocur­ren­cies, bots, dark webs, so­cial en­gi­neer­ing, cloud etc. The cen­ter will op­er­ate on a 24x7x365 ba­sis with state-of-the-art proac­tive mon­i­tor­ing as also pre­dict­ing cy­ber-at­tacks (in­ter­nal and ex­ter­nal) on the bank’s in­for­ma­tion pro­cess­ing setup. The Bank al­ready has a cap­tive (SOC) setup since 2013 for real time mon­i­tor­ing of events for alerts on 24x7x365.
