UBI to shift its data cen­ter to green one

Union Bank of In­dia is plan­ning to shift its ex­ist­ing data cen­ter from its ex­ist­ing lo­ca­tion to a green data cen­ter cre­ated on a higher floor in the same build­ing in Powai Mum­bai and it is in­tend­ing to up­grade the net­work ar­chi­tec­ture with Soft­ware De­fined Net­work­ing (SDN) ready data cen­ter fab­ric (Spine-Leaf model). The bank is look­ing for a ser­vice provider to un­der­take the sup­ply, in­stal­la­tion, con­fig­u­ra­tion and main­te­nance of the data cen­ter fab­ric (SDN ready from Day 1) along with the soft­ware, hard­ware in Spine-Leaf ar­chi­tec­ture and seam­less mi­gra­tion and in­te­gra­tion with ex­ist­ing net­work ar­chi­tec­ture of bank. The bank also wants the spine net­work switches in the pro­posed data cen­ter fab­ric should be in­ter­op­er­a­ble with the bank’s ex­ist­ing 12 num­bers of Cisco Nexus (9K) switches as fully func­tional leaf switches.
