Bike India

A SAD PARTING

- – SANJAY RAIKAR

IT’S TIME TO BID ADIEU TO my longterm Honda CBR 150R just as I was getting the hang of the bike because of its lower handlebar, with which I was a little uncomfortable initially, but eventually got used to.

I must say that the Honda CBR 150R is a head-turner, especially among the kids in my neighbourhood. They just love the bike and always ask me for a quick spin and I happily oblige.

The overall packaging of the bike is really, save for a few minor things. For instance, it should have a dipper and a start-stop switch, being a 150 sports bike. What I like about this bike is its perfect balance in handling in all situations. On the highways it is really good to ride in the sixth gear, which comes in handy only here and not within the city.

I did not expect the bike to go back so soon, because I had plans to do a long ride on this bike. In fact, the India Bike Week to be held in Goa is just round the corner and I was supposed to ride the CBR 150R from Pune to Goa.

During the few months the bike was with me I never had any problems. The servicing was done on time thanks to their reminders. Over a period of time the bike’s performance and fuel

you ride this bike is top-notch. I wish it had remained with me for some more time.
