TRIUMPH UNVEIL 2013 ROCKET III

British company’s biggest bike gets more boost

-

IT WAS ALREADY THE BIGGEST, meanest and monstrous. However, Triumph thought that their enormous beast, the Rocket III Roadster, lacked something. So now the company has released a new Rocket III for this year, which is actually more powerful than the previous model and has even more torque to play around with.

The most notable change is the missing torque limiter that restricted the torque in the first three gears in the earlier model. Triumph have dumped this little limiter, which means that the full 221 Nm of torque is now available right from the first gear. Apart from dumping the limiter, Triumph have also updated the styling a bit, though the overall look of the bike still remains pretty much the same. Black is the new dominant colour in the bike with many elements like the engine, wheels, air box cover and more donning the black shade. AD 2013 MARKS THE 110TH year of the existence of HarleyDavidson, making it the oldest surviving motorcycle manufacturer in the world. And to celebrate this very important milestone the company is hosting events worldwide. In 2013 the company will host around 12 events in different parts of the world starting with India.

H-D recently kick-started the year with their Indian celebration at the first-ever India Bike Week and we were there to witness the spectacle along with thousands of other H-D enthusiasts. After India the celebration will continue in Kiwi land where New Zealanders will show off their love for the American marque. The celebratory bandwagon will then travel to its native land of USA before thrilling other parts of the world.

The itinerary includes countries like Australia, South Africa, China, Mexico, Brazil, Italy and, finally, Malaysia.

The year-long celebration got under way in August 2012 and will continue until September 2013 with the last event being held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
