BINGLEY BULLET TOOK THE LEAD,

having dominated the Superstock TT leading from start to finish. Hutchinson went off the line in what can be called a dream start and, by Glen Helen, he was already leading the race with Michael Dunlop in hot pursuit. Hutchy, however, went even faster, further increasing his lead. As the riders crossed the start-finish line after lap one, Hutchy had already garnered a lead of almost 16 seconds with a 133.098-mph (214.200-km/h) lap. Dunlop was in second. Behind these two riders, James Hillier, Dean Harrison, Gary Johnson, and Lee Johnston were all running within two seconds of one another.

But as the riders were circulating the mountain course for the second time, Michael Dunlop ran into trouble. He pulled into the pits because of a broken gear-lever, which eventually forced him to retire in the pits. This opened the number two spot for James Hillier who was running third until then. Following Hillier was Dean Harrison who was three-and-a-half seconds behind Hillier at the end of lap two. With Michael out of the podium contention, it was time for Hutchy to thrill the viewers once again and the Bingley Bullet did exactly that by increasing his lead with each passing lap. In fact, just after Dunlop retired, Hutchy was leading with more than 30 seconds separating him and Hillier. As the Bingley Bullet ran away with the lead, Hillier and Harrison were slugging it out for the second spot. By the third lap, Hillier and Harrison were separated by just over a second. Dean Harrison eventually lapped at over 131 mph (210 km/h) to slip into second. The results in the end saw Hutchy take his 13th TT career win. Behind him was Dean Harrison who, after defending a charging Hillier, crossed the line in second place. Two seconds after Harrison finished, it was Hillier who rode past the finish-line to take the final podium place.
