Yet Another Italian Masterpiece
MV AGUSTA OF ITALY ARE KNOWN FOR their excellent motorcycles. Recently, the company went one step ahead and collaborated with the iconic Milanese coachbuilders, Zagato (known for designing some really cool-looking cars), to create a one-off motorcycle for a Japanese entrepreneur. This one-off motorcycle, based on the F4, is called the F4Z with the ‘Z’ denoting collaboration with Zagato. This is no ordinary custom bike; in fact, it has been created to showcase the heritage of both the aforementioned brands in a package that is highly desirable.
For starters, the bodywork of the F4Z is an amalgam of aluminium and carbon-fibre. The bike has relatively large body panels, a feature often seen on limited-edition collectible cars. The F4Z features entirely new bodywork, with no resemblance to the existing F4, which sets this bike apart from the standard one. Components such as the intake manifold, fuel-tank, battery and exhaust system were designed specifically for the Z.
The final result of the collaboration between MV Agusta and Zagato gives an impression that this is an entirely new motorcycle, and that was the aim of both the companies. The Japanese collector had requested exclusivity and uniqueness and we can attest that MV and Zagato have delivered quite well. Although this is a one-off piece made exclusively for the Japanese client, the F4Z just goes to show that MV Agusta have the capability to create extremely gorgeous collectibles and we hope that the company won’t stop with the F4Z.
