Honda One-make Race Round III
The third round of Honda’s indigenous racing championship took place at the Madras Motor Race Track (MMRT) in Chennai over the race weekend, with India’s young racing contingent putting on a show for the throngs of fans present
CBR 250R Open
THIRTEEN RIDERS TOOK TO THE TRACK ON IDENTICAL race-spec Honda CBR 250Rs to see who would emerge triumphant in round three of the CBR 250R open. The two six-lap races culminated in a strong weekend for riders belonging to Honda’s Ten10 Racing academy. Mathana Kumar continued his resolute performances in the competition with another set of victories over the weekend, with Hari Krishnan taking two second spots, and Ananth Raj P taking third spot in the first race of the round before conceding it to Rajiv Sethu in race two.
CBR 150 Novice Race
THE CBR 150 NOVICE RACE IS THE ENTRY-level one-make competition in terms of Honda’s racing offerings here in India, and as such runs for a couple of laps less than the CBR 250 Open. Seventeen riders qualified for the race, which spans across two legs of four laps each. Soorya P M and Anish Shetty were part of their own personal battle finishing a fraction of a second apart in both races of the competition, and swapping the one-two between themselves.
Honda All-Ladies Race
HONDA’S EFFORTS TO PROMOTE women’s racing in India have given birth to the Honda All-Ladies Race, and the girls definitely stepped up, and how. Aishwarya Pissay had to fend off A Ryhana Bee throughout the four-lap race to clinch top spot. Shruthi N rounded off the top three. It should come as no surprise that four of the seven participants in this race were from India’s two-wheeler racing hub of Chennai.
