New Ducati Icon

Bike India - - IGNITION -

DUCATI HAVE UNVEILED AN UPDATE FOR THEIR POPULAR SCRAMBLER Icon which looks much more contemporary now and also comes with a host of new features.

After four long years, this is the first major update for the Scrambler and Ducati say that the rest of the line-up will also receive updates soon. The new Scrambler Icon comes with new aluminium side panels that now flawlessly match the teardrop tank and the headlamp assembly. The engine gets a new black paint treatment with brushed cylinder-head fins. The new Icon also gets machine-finished alloy wheels, an all-new headlamp with LED daytime running light, auto-off LED indicators, and a more ergonomic switchgear for scrolling through the LCD instrument menu that now also features a fuel-level indicator.

Ducati have equipped the new Icon with high and wide handlebars, a new flat seat, lower centre of gravity thanks to the revised suspension set-up, and chunkier tyre treads for better handling while off-roading. The new Icon comes equipped Bosch cornering ABS and hydraulic clutch with an adjustable lever.

The new Scrambler Icon is available in two shades: an Atomic Tangerine with black frame and grey trim and the classic 1962 Yellow with black seat and grey trim. The bike will be available in the international market from November 2018. Ducati India haven’t said anything about the bike as yet; however, given the popularity of the model in the country, we may expect the company to launch it in India soon thereafter. The price of this motorcycle is also not known as of now, but given the fact that it comes with so many new goodies, it surely will be slightly more expensive than the current model available in India.
