Romano Fenati’s Career-ending Move

-

Romano Fenati, the Marinelli Snipers Team rider, got into a nasty fight with Stefano Manzi of Forward Racing Team. The two were fighting for positions when both ran wide and Manzi came very close to taking Fenati out. This move probably triggered extreme rage in Fenati’s mind which resulted in the Italian rider grabbing the front brake of Manzi’s bike at race speed. Fenati’s move was noticed by millions of spectators watching the race on satellite television and the Internet. It was a shocking move by the 22-year-old rider who managed to finish in the runners-up spot last year in Moto3 championship.

After this disappointing move, Fenati was shown the black flag and immediately slapped a two-race suspension. However, this incident was a big one for the Marinelli Snipers Team and they decided to part ways with Romano Fenati, ending his Moto2 career midseason.

Veteran riders like Cal Crutchlow also commented by saying that the youngster should be banned for life from the sport. Another jolt came for Fenati when his future employee, MV Agusta Forward Racing Team, sacked him from their upcoming team for 2019. Recently MV Agusta, who are going to make a comeback to MotoGP next year, had signed the youngster but given his recent behaviour on track, they decided to drop him immediately. Fenati did come out apologizing to fans, organizers, and the teams, but this mistake seems to have put an end to his racing career.
