MotoGP: Honda Special
The year 2018 proved to be amazing for Honda Racing. They ended it with a triple crown in MotoGP. We were in Valencia, Spain, with Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) to witness their riders in action
Honda Racing had a great 2018 season with Marc Marquez and dani Pedrosa helping the team to get a triple crown in MotogP: Rider, constructor, and Team. While Marquez won the riders’ championship, honda Racing won the constructors’ title and Repsol honda the team crown. honda riders were consistent throughout the season, Marquez being on the top of his game. This enabled him to win his fifth MotogP title despite being injured during the second half of the season. dani Pedrosa also performed well in the 2018 season; although the Little Samurai was able finish only in 11th place. The last round of the season in Valencia was quite emotional for the Spaniard, it being his last MotogP race. he finished fifth before bidding adieu to competitive racing.
apart from interacting with the MotogP riders, we also had an opportunity to talk exclusively to the idemitsu honda Team asia riders who enlightened us on how Moto2 and Moto3 classes had been for them and how honda helped them reach the world stage. Starting with the Moto2 riders, the team included riders like Khairul idham Pawi and Tetsuta nagashima, both of whom have considerable experience in the world of racing.
