Suzuki Gixxer 250 Coming in 2019?

SUZUKI ARE EXPECTED TO EXPAND THEIR GIXXER RANGE IN INDIA with the introduction of a 250-cc variant of the Gixxer. The Japanese giant will most likely be launching this naked bike by April 2019. Thanks to high demand in the sub-300-cc segment, the Gixxer will finally get a larger 250-cc unit. This means that Suzuki are all set to take on the likes of the Yamaha FZ 25, Bajaj NS and RS 200’s, and TVS RTR 200 4V.

Overseas, Suzuki have been selling the GSX-250R, which is powered by a parallel-twin engine that would, if introduced in India, compete with the likes of the Yamaha YZF-R3 and Kawasaki Ninja 300. However, we believe that India could receive a single-cylinder unit similar to what Yamaha did with their FZ in the country. Needless to say, the success of this Gixxer will depend upon how it is priced.
