Honda’s Indian Initiative
THIS IS going To BE a SPECIAL YEAR for honda Motorcycles & Scooters inda (HMSI) in the national racing scene. The company will start a new one-make series wherein riders will compete on the nSF 250R, a proper racing machine. This will allow honda to hand-pick talented young racers who will then graduate to international championships such as the Thai Talent cup and asia Road Racing championship. one may recall that the four Moto2 and Moto3 riders had also started out in smaller classes and, with honda’s help, are today racing at the pinnacle of motorcycle racing: the FIM Moto2 and Moto3 championship.
individuals who will make it to these championships will also get an opportunity to compete, based on their performance, in well-known races such as the Suzuki Eight hours and all Japan Road Race championship. From there the talent will have the opportunity to move up to European championships like FIM CEV, which is a stepping stone to Moto3.
honda Racing india are determined to give homegrown talent a chance to represent HMSI and india on the global stage and the 2019 racing season in india will mark the beginning of this initiative.
