Husqvarna Svartpilen 250
Price: Rs 1.84 lakh (ex-showroom) engine: 248.8-cc, DOHC, four-valve, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder
The cafe-racer-inspireD viTpiLen 250 is The sportier of the two huskys, featuring low-set clip-on bars for an aggressive riding position, ideal for hustling through twisty back roads on a weekend blast. The bike is stripped of all unnecessary accruements, and the rider sits hunched over the front wheel with an unobstructed view of what lies ahead, ready to dive towards the next apex. The riding position may not be too comfortable for longer rides, but makes for an extremely involving time in the saddle and offers a dynamic riding experience.
The scrambler-inspired svartpilen 250, on the other hand, features a more relaxed riding position, courtesy the taller handlebar that has the rider sitting almost upright. The motor and underpinnings are shared with the vitpilen 250, however while the sportier vitpilen gets sticky street-biased rubber, the svartpilen’s alloy wheels are shod with tougher, dual-purpose tyres. The comfortable riding position and these tyres make the svartpilen the more practical of these two husqvarna motorcycles, especially for longer rides over our questionable roads. Ultimately both these bikes succeed in injecting a new-age touch to the growing quarter-litre segment, and once again prove the versatility of KTm’s 250-cc platform.
as the quarter-litre segment continues growing and is established as an entry point into the world of high-performance motorcycles, Bajaj auto have a potent slew of affordable offerings across segments and styles in the quarter-litre space.
