RAJIV BAJAJ, Managing Director, Bajaj Auto

-

Rajiv Bajaj, the very dynamic and influential man, has been heading Bajaj Auto since 2005. Back in 1990, he started his career in the company in the R&D department and, five years later, he moved to the engineering section and continued to contribute to the brand’s success. With the turn of the millennium, he moved to the marketing and sales department where he proved to be a vital asset for Bajaj. Finally, after serving the company for 15 years, he was appointed as the Managing Director. Over the years, he has established Bajaj Auto as a global two-wheeler player.

More recently, Bajaj brought the much-awaited KTM 790 Duke and the highly anticipated KTM 390 Adventure to our shores. In another major move, the company introduced its very first electric scooter, in January 2020. Bajaj also introduced the Husqvarna brand in India with the launch of the Svartpilen 250 and Vitpilen 250. Unfazed by the ongoing coronavirus situation, Bajaj went ahead and launched the Dominar 250, thus making touring motorcycles more accessible to all. Those waiting for the Bajaj-Triumph model will be happy to note that the alliance is working on a sub-Rs 2 lakh, 200-cc motorcycle to be launched by 2022.
