ANAND MAHINDRA, Executive Chairman, Mahindra & Mahindra
Anand Mahindra is the inspirational leader of the Mahindra Group and a very recognizable head from the South Asian sub-continent. He also leads the two wheelers arm of the company, which has seen a fair bit of success in certain cutthroat regions like the Moto3 championship, also becoming the only nonJapanese Asian team to win a Grand Prix.
Anand Mahindra’s success is in tune with his equally impressive academic record, the Harvard University being home for a period where he studied business administration as well as film-making and photography.
The Mahindra Group, as of 2020, has acquired quite a few very impressive companies such as Pininfarina, BSA Motorcycles, and Peugeot Scooters. With Peugeot Scooters, Anand Mahindra would like to introduce a few models into the country which would be premium maxi-scooters. However, 1 April 2020 was when Anand Mahindra would become a non-executive chairman of the Group but would continue as executive chairman until 2021, all the while hoping to guide the Mahindra Group through the tough challenge posed by COVID-19.
