SHOEB FAROOQ, Managing Director, Triumph Motorcycles (India) Pvt Ltd

Shoeb Farooq has been with Triumph Motorcycles since they began their chapter in the country and took over the position of MD two years ago. His contribution to making Triumph a brand with a positive image and fan-following has been significant.

Farooq spent five years in sales during the time he worked with Usha International as assistant manager (sales) and then for nine years at Bajaj Auto where he was the regional sales manager, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. His educational qualifications include the degree of Master of Business Administration from the Institute of Professional Education and Research, Bhopal.

The past year has been a busy one for Triumph. At the India Bike Week, they launched the Rocket 3, the largest-capacity production motorcycle in the world. More recently, they replaced the Tiger 800 line in the country with the all-new Tiger 900s. On the flip side, numerous motorcycles have been taken off the shelves for the now pending BS6 updates.
