Hero MotoCorp Achieve Record Sales

Hero MotoCorp Ltd, the world’s largest twowheeler manufacturer, sold 806,848 units of motorcycles and scooters in October 2020 — its highestever sales in any single month. Continuing its growth momentum, Hero MotoCorp reported a robust doubledigit growth of 35 per cent over the corresponding month of the previous year (October 2019), when the company had sold 599,248 units. In fact, the company sold over 14 lakh units of motorcycles and scooters in retail sales, riding on the festive sentiment. Despite the severe disruption caused by COVID-19 this year, the good retail off-take during the 32-day festival period, spread between the first day of Navaratri and the concluding day of Deepavali, was 98 per cent of the festive season volume sold by the company in the previous year (2019) and 103 per cent as compared to the same period in 2018.
