Ducati Monster

-

The Ducati Monster is synonymous with naked street ferocity and now there’s a new generation seeking entry into the global market. The 2021 Ducati Monster has been unveiled and it is now lighter, sleeker, and more compact than ever before.

The bike is powered by a 937-cc, twin-cylinder, Desmodromic Testastretta 11° engine. In this latest version, the weight of the engine has been reduced by 2.4 kg and it now puts out 111 hp at 9,250 rpm and a peak torque of 95 Nm at 6,500 rpm. With a combination of the new wheels, a new swing-arm, a smaller tank, and more, a total of 18 kg has been shed from the previous model, with the Monster tipping the scales at just 188 kg. The new Italian naked will be available in two variants: Monster and the Monster +. While there is no difference mechanically, the variants have a few styling and design elements that set them apart.

Ducati have announced that the standard model will be priced at £10,295 (Rs 10.13 lakh) and will be launched in the first quarter of 2021. The bike should come to India later on and we may expect it to be priced at a premium (around Rs 13.5 lakh) in our market.
