Hero 300-cc-plus Adventure Motorcycle

The Indian biking fraternity has been fervently hoping for this since Hero first threw their hat into the Dakar Rally ring. It may have taken a few rounds of what Hero are fond of calling “the toughest commute in the world”, but it looks like the Indian bike-maker is now ready to use all its learning from the Dakar and transfer it into a production motorcycle. In fact, a skeletal version of this upcoming go-anywhere bike was recently on display at a Hero event. This larger Xpulse (for lack of an official announcement pertaining to its moniker) will draw heavily from the Hero 450 Rally Dakar machine and is expected to be propelled by 300-cc-plus engine. Considering the success of the Hero Xpulse 200 in the Indian market and the brand’s experience in the Dakar thus far, this project for a larger and more powerful on/ off-roader is quite an enticing prospect.
