In an unfortunate turn of events, the ace Indian suffered a crash in the fourth stage, bringing his chase in the Dakar rally to an end. he was attended to by the on-ground medical team, was found to be stable, and was then shifted to the Saudi German hospital in riyadh for proper medical care. the team has reported that he has sustained no major physical injuries except for a dislocated right shoulder and head trauma. the scans also show no major issue that could have an impact on his full recovery. the medical team attending to Santosh had decided that the best approach to manage the injury was to reduce the body functions to the minimum and keep him in a sedated condition or an artificial coma.

he was recently cleared to be flown back to India and was transferred in a sleeping state to avoid any unnecessary stress during travel. he is receiving the best possible medical care and will continue to be under constant observation. We wish him a speedy recovery and hope to see him back in action very soon.
