Sportscraft – An Ode to Motor Sport

THE SPORTSCRAFT CLUB, FOUNDED BY SHRIKANT KARANI IN 1984, HAS organised everything possible in motor sport — Gymkhana races, vintage car rallies, scooter rallies, Autocross, dirt track and go-kart racing, off-beat drives, and even events for autorickshaws, trucks, rigs and tractors. Shrikant Karani has worked tirelessly for 36 years to awarding 366 successfully organized motor sport races to Indian history.

Known predominantly for organising the Monsoon Scooter Rally, the Sportscraft club also organised events for the differently-abled and car rallies for underprivileged children. The Limca Book of Records has honoured Shrikant Karani and Sportscraft with a mention of their activities in the esteemed annual book of records that documents outstanding achievements by Indians.
