le Mans, a showdown between the Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP rider Fabio Quartararo and the Ducatis. Quartararo lived up to the billing, grabbing pole-position on Saturday. At the lights, however, inevitability, as the Ducati would as usual have their say.
Jack Miller took the lead, confident after his first dry victory in MotoGP. The much-liked Aussie was being hunted down by the Pramac Ducati rider, Johann Zarco, who found speed late in the race. Zarco seemed to man-handled the Ducati might get the better of the Aussie, but Miller once again made sure he kept clear at the front, giving him his second consecutive victory. Zarco finished in second once again, rejuvenating his championship charge.
The fight for third would be between two riders, Fabio Quartararo of Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP and Pecco Bagnaia on the Ducati lenovo Team bike. Fabio held off the Ducati challenge and took the final place on the podium. Pecco took third, keeping his championship dream flying high, and a brilliant ride by Danilo Petrucci on the Tech 3 KTM Factory Racing machine finished fifth.
