Royal Enfield File Patent Application for Scram
ROYAL ENFIELD PROMISED TO GIVE US A SLEW OF NEW bikes in the coming months and we have already reported about the company trademarking the “Hunter”, “Shotgun”, and “Sherpa” names, with several spy images doing the rounds. However, the Chennai-based manufacturer is clearly not done. The company has now filed a patent application for the “Royal Enfield Scram” name, which leads us to believe that it is working on a scrambler-inspired model, complete with highmounted exhaust and dual-purpose tyres, capable of light off-road work. Whether the new bike will be powered by the J-platform 350-cc single from the Meteor or the company’s 650-cc twin is not yet known. Stay tuned.
