BMW S 1000 R

THE 2021 ITERATION OF THE BIG GERMAN roadster is here, priced at Rs 17.9 lakh for the Standard, Rs 19.75 lakh for the Pro, and Rs 22.5 lakh for the Pro M Sport variant (all prices ex-showroom).

The motorcycle is based on the thirdgeneration S 1000 RR superbike that was launched here in 2019 and, like its fully faired sibling, the roadster, too, has lost the distinguishing asymmetrical face. The 2021 S 1000 R is powered by a 999-cc, liquid-cooled in-line four that pumps out 167 hp and 114 Nm of torque. A 6.5-inch full-colour TFT display is the command centre for a state-of-the-art electronics suite that is based around a six-axis IMU.
