Hybrid Tech?

Yamaha claim that in addition to an integrated starter-generator, the scooters have also been equipped with an electric motor. This motor is supposed to assist the engine during starts from standstill and to climb inclines for a maximum of three seconds. Strictly speaking, this is not a hybrid power unit but it features an automatic start-stop function. So, more of a mild-hybrid than anything else.
