Mountain Muncher
WE RODE IT, WE EXPERIENCED IT, AND WE told you it was coming. And now, Ducati have officially revived the Pikes Peak moniker for the Multistrada V4. It wears the iconic red-white-and-black paint scheme of Ducati’s Pikes Peak contender. Its aluminium monocoque has been refreshed with an inclination towards the steering head.
Suspension duties have been taken care of by Öhlins Smart EC 3.0 suspension.
The riding position has been revised as well, with the foot-peg position moved far back and higher, giving riders more leverage for better lean angles. At heart, this Multi retains the 1,160-cc V4 Granturismo motor pounding out 170 hp and 123 Nm. However, if you intend to increase power, the Akrapovič exhaust is always available. Additionally, Ducati have also slapped on 17-inch Marchesini wheels wrapped with Pirelli rubber.
Apart from this, the bike gets the entire suite of electronics straight from the Multistrada V4. Just like the Multistrada 1260 Pikes Peak, we expect this to make its way to India as well and it will sit on the top of the Multistrada V4 family.
