Aprilia Tuareg 660

Aprilia have added an adventure model to their 660-cc range. Based on the same platform as the Tuono and RS, we really dig the Tuareg 660’s understated design. A large windscreen and a sleek headlamp underneath, with knuckle-guards and an upswept exhaust complete the adventure stance. So do cycle parts such as the spoke wheels (21-inch front, 18-inch rear) that come shod with blockpattern tyres. There’s long travel and adjustable suspension, ample ground clearance, and even a sump guard for added protection.

The trusted 660-cc parallel-twin has been completely re-tuned to produce 80 hp and 70 Nm (20 hp less and three Nm more than in the RS 660) to offer a more usable power-band suitable to an adventure bike. We expect this motorcycle to head to India via the completely built-up unit (CBU) route later this year, priced at around Rs 12 lakh.
