Kawasaki W175
Since the Kawasaki W175 test mule has been spotted in Pune on a couple of occasions, we’re more than certain that the launch of this retro-styled bike is just around the corner. This will be the most affordable Kawasaki one can buy in India with an estimated sticker of Rs 1.75 lakh. This can only be possible with over 80 per cent of localisation.
In terms of design, the motorcycle has all the elements that guarantee to tug at the heartstrings of old-school bikers. These include a teardrop-shaped fuel-tank, a round headlamp with a matching shape of the indicators and rear-view mirrors, a simple analogue instrument cluster, and a classic peashooter exhaust. Power figures are expected to be close to the international model, where the 177-cc, two-valve, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine churns out 13 hp and 13.2 Nm of torque. The India-specific model will be fuelinjected and meet BS6 norms and come with a single-channel ABS.
