Hero MotoCorp Vida e-Scooter
The world’s largest motorcycle and scooter maker is entering the
EV space. Since Hero MotoCorp cannot sell electric vehicles under the ‘Hero’ brand name because of
Hero Electric, they have registered the name ‘Vida’ and the first model under this banner will make its global debut this March. In a recent video, Hero MotoCorp gave us a glimpse of the concept version of their new e-scooter which looks pretty compact and appealing. Interesting elements include a single-sided swingarm, split seat with neatly integrated grab-rails, twin-five-spoke alloy wheels, telescopic fork, single rear shock-absorber, front fender mounter LED headlamp, and a nice floating screen upfront. Recently, Hero MotoCorp had signed an agreement with Taiwanese-based Gogoro for battery swapping technology. Though, there’s still no information is the new Vida e-scooter will get the option of a swappable battery. With the company’s widespread and expected price of close to Rs 1 lakh, this model will surely shake up the e-scooter segment.
