TVS-BMW e-Scooter

Adding excitement to the buzzing EV segment has been the announcement of TVS-BMW alliance expanding their partnership and co-developing an electric platform. What this means is that the two brands will start developing and manufacturing electric scooters and motorcycles in India and the first couple of models will make their début within the next two years. These will include an all-new architecture and concepts, including some which have been recently showcased by BMW internationally.

Going by this piece of information, the new models will most likely cater to the top end of the EV pyramid. Earlier this year, TVS invested further in Ultraviolette, a Bengaluru-based EV start-up, and went ahead and acquired Ego Movement, the Swiss-based electric two-wheeler company. This is proof enough of TVS’ commitment to new-age mobility and zero exhaustemission vehicles.

We hope to hear a lot more about this dynamic partnership later this year. So, watch this space.
