Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RR
THE SPEED TRIPLE 1200 RR IS ESSENTIALLY A FAIRED VERSION of the Speed Triple 1200 RS. It uses the same 1160-cc in-line threecylinder motor that puts out 180 hp at 10,750 rpm and a peak torque of 125 Nm at 9,000 rpm. The bike features a half fairing which is wrapped around the round headlight at the front, a new clip-on handlebar unit, and re-positioned foot-pegs. This gives it a slightly different riding position as compared to the 1200 RS.
The bike also features a better suspension set-up as it makes use of the Öhlins Smart EC 2.0 electronically adjustable semiactive unit. It rides on 17-inch alloy wheels that come shod with Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP V3 rubber. The bike has a kerb weight of 199 kg, thus making it only one kilo heavier than its naked sibling. Apart from that, it is equipped with the same suite of electronics that we have seen in the 1200 RS.
