-

ACCORDING TO RECENT REPORTS, OLA HAVE NOT YET STARTED production of the Ola S1, which is the base variant of the electric scooter. The company is currently upgrading all customers who purchased the S1 to a restricted version of the S1 Pro. They will have the option to continue using the scooter in restricted form or unlock all the additional features of the S1 Pro for Rs 30,000. Apparently, Ola had informed all S1 buyers and revealed that production of the S1 would start towards the end of 2022. The company says that the majority of their orders are for the S1 Pro, which is why they are prioritizing production of the S1 Pro instead. For reference, The S1 gets a 2.98-kWh battery pack that delivers a claimed range of 121 km and a claimed top speed of 90 km/h. The S1 Pro on the other hand is powered by an 8.5-kW (11.6-hp) electric motor with a continuous output of 5.5 kW (7.5-hp) and gets a 3.97-kWh battery pack with 181 km of claimed range and a top speed of 115 km/h (claimed).
