Triumph TE-01: The Electric Bug Learns to Walk
ABOUT A YEAR AGO, TRIUMPH MOTORCYCLES SHOWED US A SPECIMEN of what potentially could be the future of the Hinckley bikemaker. And, finally, they have now shown us a finalised version of the prototype TE-01 that will go under testing very soon. Back then, we didn’t really have a confirmation about the chassis and components; now, however, we can now confirm that the motorcycle will be running a twin spar frame set-up, Brembo M50 monoblock calipers, Öhlins RSU, and Öhlins fork as well.
Hereafter, Triumph will take the TE-01 into the fourth phase of the project that is testing. This phase would put this EV to the test. Over the next few months, Triumph would be working on throttle calibration, powertrain performance mapping, power and torque output, range and battery consumption assessment, rider mode development, software functionality, and thermal optimization.
