Suggest the Right Tyre

Which tyres would be good for a KTM 250 Duke? My budget is about Rs 10,000 and I live in Meghalaya, so I need rubber that is good on wet roads too.

Jaazaniah Daniel, via soc. media Dear Jaazaniah,

Within your budget, we have shortlisted the Apollo Alpha H1, the CEAT Zoom Rad X1, and the MRF Revz for the 250 Duke. You may opt for the Apollo or choose between the other two if you are on a budget.

Fuel Efficiency Woes

Even though the Honda CB650R is an expensive motorcycle, my heart has been set on owning one since I took a test-ride. With the recent surge in petrol price, fuel efficiency is a major concern, particularly because I regularly do Mumbai-Pune runs. Do you think it will do the trip with a tankful each way?

P, via social media Hello, P,

We picked up the Honda CB650R from a BigWing dealership in Mumbai and rode it all the way to Pune with one level less than full tank. So, you could easily manage with one tankful each way.

Finding the Way

How good is Royal Enfield’s Tripper Navigation?

Harish V, via social media Dear Harish,

Royal Enfield’s Tripper Navigation is currently equipped only for navigation info. From what we have experienced, both the console and the Royal Enfield app are easy to use. It also helps that the system is based on Google Maps that most of us are already accustomed to.

Everyday Business

After some research and testriding, I have narrowed down my search for an everyday commuter to the TVS Radeon. One of my friends says that the Radeon is not a great motorcycle in the long run. How was your experience with the one you were testing?

Abhishek X, via social media Hello, Abhishek,

During its tenure in our long-term fleet, the TVS Radeon proved to be one of the most reliable motorcycles we have ever used. With timely maintenance, it performed its duties perfectly and never let us down. We suggest you go for it and buy the disc brake variant if your budget permits it because the front drum brake tends to lock up if it collects rust.
