Aurobindo Pharma MD N Govindarajan resigns

N Govindarajan has stepped down as the Managing Director (MD) of Hyderabad-based Aurobindo Pharma. His resignation has been considered and accepted by the board of directors of the company. Govindarajan will be relieved from the services of the company effective from December 31, 2021. He has more than 20 years of experience across a variety of domains such as Bulk Drugs, Contract research and manufacturing services (CRAMS), Finished Dosages and Biotechnology. He joined Aurobindo Pharma as Chief Executive Officer in late 2010, and has been looking after the Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) Operations and CRAMS business of the company. The board has now taken note of the appointment of S Damodharan as Chief Operating Officer for the active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) vertical, following Govindarajan’s exit.
