Nepal receives funds to improve health, COVID-19 recovery efforts
The Astellas Global Health Foundation has announced that it will provide $1.85 million in combined new grants to charitable organisations for urgent projects helping improve access to health and build community resilience, including COVID-19 vaccine education and support, for vulnerable and hardto-reach populations within Nepal, among others. The Foundation will be supporting CARE organisations’ efforts in helping nearly 800,000 people in remote, underserved districts and communities in Nepal with comprehensive COVID-19 prevention measures and vaccination campaigns. The new support from the Astellas Global Health Foundation will also enable World Vision to help build community resilience against COVID-19 for Nepali residents in urgent need with improved information-sharing, hygiene, immunisations and access to care.
