Argentina launches mobile app for control of NCDs
During the recent Federal
Meeting of Referees of the National Directorate for Comprehensive Approach to non-communicable diseases (NCDs), the Minister of Health of Argentina presented the application for mobile devices Salud-ENT, a tool that will allow teams access in a simple and dynamic way to clinical practice guides and other fundamental contents for the prevention and control of NCDs, and information on their risk factors. It has been developed by the National Ministry of Health, through the National Directorate for Comprehensive Approach to NCDs, in collaboration with the Pan American Health Organisation (PAHO). It allows health teams to access clinical practice guides and other content on NCDs in a simple and dynamic way. The device, available for Android and IOS, provides content on hypertension, diabetes, kidney and lung disease, asthma and obesity, and includes guidelines on healthy eating, physical activity, control of smoking and excessive alcohol consumption, and road safety.
