‘DEVELOPING CULTURE MEDIUM BUSINESS UNDER GLOBAL PRODUCTION’

“We are expanding the culture medium business globally through our group companies, FUJIFILM Irvine Scientific, Inc. and Wako Pure Chemical Industries, Ltd. Currently, we develop and provide high-quality and high-performance media required by customers by utilising our high R&D capabilities, excellent quality control capabilities, and cGMP-compliant production bases in Japan and the United States. In addition, we are strengthening product development and expanding globally, such as by announcing the opening of the ‘Innovation & Collaboration Center’, a base that provides culture medium customisation services in the rapidly growing Chinese market. Going forward, we will develop the culture medium business under the global production system of three bases in Japan, the United States and Europe, and will provide stronger support for customers’ drug discovery and pharmaceutical manufacturing. We will accelerate global expansion by combining the technologies and know-how of the Group to develop high-quality and high-performance media and provide them widely.”
