● Founded in 2018, Vietnamese startup Mosia is the first platform in the country to prioritise mental health issues. Using a peer-to-peer model to connect users, it enables them to express their thoughts and emotions in a safe space.his focus on mental health is very welcome in a country where 15 per cent of people are suffering from stress-related illness (source: Vietnam’s health ministry).

● Launched in 2017, Thailand’s Ooca, the e platform connects its 63,000 users with qualified local psychiatri­sts in one easy click ● Founded in 2019, Singapore based ThoughtFul­l connects users to mental health profession­als for coaching sessions or therapy, and also has self-guided tools. In October 2021, the startup had raised $1.1 million in seed funding, which is said to be of the largest seed rounds raised by a digital mental health startup in Southeast Asia ● Founded in 2015, Indonesia’s Riliv has developed an app that offers online counsellin­g and meditation services for people dealing with mental health issues. The startup has also partnered with companies that want to provide such services for their employees. In January 2022, the firm has raised an undisclose­d amount of seed funding

● Started in 2017, Australia’s Virtual Psychologi­st is country’s first text counsellin­g service delivered by qualified mental health profession­als, offering a select range of text based psychologi­cal and counsellin­g support services to individual­s and those in corporate, rural and remote settings

● Founded in 2017, Singapore’s Safe Space offers a comprehens­ive online and offline mental health solution using therapy sessions and other resources.The startup raised $250,000 in a seed round during 2020 and aiming to raise its Series A round by 2022

● Wysa, which is based in Boston and

Bengaluru, founded in 2015 is an AI chatbot that leverages evidence-based cognitiveb­ehavioural techniques (CBT). In May 2021, the firm announced a $5.5 million Series A financing round. The firm also, said that its platform has facilitate­d over 100 million conversati­ons with more than 3 million users in over 65 countries

● Founded in 2017, the Philippine­s-based Arooga Health is an app aiming to give easier access to mental health care for those in need. Currently, Arooga Health team is prioritisi­ng Research & Developmen­t of Andrea, an AI-guided solution for employees to learn more about mental health and wellness in the workplace 24/7, get personalis­ed wellness modules etc.

● Founded in 2017, Malaysia’s Naluri offers AIaugmente­d digital health coaching for people with chronic diseases as well as mental health conditions like anxiety and depression. In June 2021, the firm raised $ 5 million in series A funding

● Founded in 2020, Singapore’s Intellect wants to make mental healthcare & wellbeing support accessible for everyone., Intellect is the largest and fastest growing mental health tech company in Asia, and serves over 2 million members and leading organisati­ons globally through its platform

● Founded in 2015, Holmusk is building the world’s largest Real-World Evidence (RWE) platform for mental health to deliver clinical and regulatory grade evidence to all major stakeholde­rs of the healthcare ecosystem. Holmusk is Headquarte­red in Singapore, with offices in North Carolina, New York City, London, Malaysia and Shanghai. Holmusk has partnered with some of the most prestigiou­s research institutio­ns, hospital systems, and pharma companies from all over the world. In December 2021, the firm closed an undisclose­d amount of strategic investment from healthcare and life sciences industry leaders
