Singapore issues guidelines for booster vaccine doses
The Ministry of Health (MOH) in Singapore has announced that for individuals aged 18 years and above, their full vaccination status after two doses of mRNA vaccines and three doses of Sinovac/Sinopharm vaccines will lapse after 270 days. This policy is effective from February 14, 2022, to give individuals sufficient time to receive their boosters and extend the validity of their full vaccination status. As recommended by the Expert Committee on COVID-19 vaccination, it is safe for persons who have recovered from COVID-19 to receive a booster dose.
The government has also stated that if one has seen a doctor when he/she was infected or was detected to be COVID-19 positive when travelling into Singapore, and a record of the infection is reflected in the respective medical records and one can choose not to take the booster dose.
