Singapore issues guidelines for booster vaccine doses

The Ministry of Health (MOH) in Singapore has announced that for individual­s aged 18 years and above, their full vaccinatio­n status after two doses of mRNA vaccines and three doses of Sinovac/Sinopharm vaccines will lapse after 270 days. This policy is effective from February 14, 2022, to give individual­s sufficient time to receive their boosters and extend the validity of their full vaccinatio­n status. As recommende­d by the Expert Committee on COVID-19 vaccinatio­n, it is safe for persons who have recovered from COVID-19 to receive a booster dose.

The government has also stated that if one has seen a doctor when he/she was infected or was detected to be COVID-19 positive when travelling into Singapore, and a record of the infection is reflected in the respective medical records and one can choose not to take the booster dose.
