Australia’s Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission­er Janet Anderson has been reappointe­d for three more years in 2022, owing to her extraordin­ary leadership during COVID-19. She was the first aged care quality and safety commission­er, tasked with leading the independen­t Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission that launched on 1 January 2019. Janet has an extensive background in the health sector and management experience. She has also held leadership roles in state and territory health department­s.
