Setting new standards
Australia’s Aged Care Quality and Safety Commissioner Janet Anderson has been reappointed for three more years in 2022, owing to her extraordinary leadership during COVID-19. She was the first aged care quality and safety commissioner, tasked with leading the independent Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission that launched on 1 January 2019. Janet has an extensive background in the health sector and management experience. She has also held leadership roles in state and territory health departments.
“THE COMMISSION WILL CONTINUE TO REVIEW AND UPDATE ITS REGULATORY APPROACH TO ENSURE THAT IT REMAINS RESPONSIVE TO EVOLVING PANDEMIC RISKS.”
